“Last year as I was praying about what to cover in our youth group’s Bible study/discussion programme for the year I had a strong sense that we were to simply focus on Jesus – Just Jesus. I began to put together these Bible studies and we launched them with our youth. The response has been fantastic! At our first session, all our small groups (including year 9 boys!) wanted more time than the 45 mins we had allocated and so for the rest of the year these discussions have gone on for an hour (or more). The young people have enjoyed discussing topics of interest to them, built around Bible passages exploring key events in Jesus’ life. I pray you’ll find similar enthusiasm for this material among your young people.” – Murray Brown

The fifteen sessions are as follows:

1.    Temptation (Mark 1:9-14)
2.    Forgiveness (Mark 2:1-12)
3.    Faith (Mark 4:35-41)
4.    Rejection (Mark 6:1-11)
5.    Purity (Mark 7:14-23)
6.    Doubt (Mark 8:27-33)
7.    Priorities (Mark 10:17-31)
8.    Greatness (Mark 10:35-45)
9.    Love (Mark 12:28-34)
10.   The Future (Mark 13:5-26)
11.   Worship (Mark 14:1-11)
12.   Prayer (Mark 14:32-42)
13.   Fear (Mark 14:66-72)
14. Popularity (Mark 15:6-15)
15.   Beyond Death (Mark 16:1-9)

The studies are presented in a smorgasbord style—there are more questions that you will likely need in one session. Each study contains a mix of questions for discussion, Bible passages to study and help in developing specific action steps.
